2025 Student Spotlight: Jasmine Hurtado

The Office of Conference Services congratulates student staff member, Indiana Renfroe

Staff Recognition

The Office of Conference Services would like to recognize a member of our student staff, not only for their hard work, dedication and contribution to our efforts but also for their academic accomplishment. You have studied throughout the night; worked on countless papers and projects; sweated over exams; laughed, cried and everything in between. To this we say thank you for being a part of Georgia Tech and the Conference Services Team!

We celebrate you and appreciate everything you have contributed to make our office a success. We hope your time working with us has been as beneficial to you as it has been to us. We wish you health, happiness, blessings and every good thing.

Student Staff Member

Jasmine Hurtado

Major: Biomedical Engineering, minor in environmental science

What I learned working with conference services:Refined my problem solving and conflict resolution skills. I was able to practice professional communication with people outside of Georgia Tech.

Other Involvement at Georgia Tech: I was an RA for 3 years, a tutor for 2 years, and on the Yellow Jacket Roller Derby team for 2 years.

Favorite Georgia Tech Memory: Practicing and competing with the roller derby team.

Advice to Incoming First-Year Students: Find what works for you and don’t feel the need to rush to find a friend group or get involved immediately. What works for you will find you and part of growing up is taking some time to be alone. Also don’t be afraid to ask for help.
