Your Building- Z Bar

Your lodging is located in Z Bar Apartments (ZBR). This residence hall is located on Georgia Tech’s West campus at 501 6th Street, NW, Atlanta, GA 30332.

Office Check-in Hours:

Our office is available for check-in daily from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. EDT. After hours, please contact our on-call staff for assistance.

Building Access:

For security purposes, all doors to the building are autolocked and will remain locked at all times. To enter the residence hall, simply scan your BuzzCard on the card readers located next to each entrance. You will receive your BuzzCard during check-in.

If you do not have your BuzzCard, please call our office at 404-894-2469 for assistance.

BuzzCard Information:

At check-in, you will receive a BuzzCard programmed with your personalized access information. This card will allow you to enter the main entrance of your apartment, as well as other building entrances, and your bedroom door.

Please note: a $50 fine will be charged for any lost or damaged BuzzCard. This fee can be paid at the front desk or billed to your personal account.

Lost Keys? Locked Out?

If you’ve lost your apartment keys, you can sign out temporary keys at the Conference Services Office for up to three days. After this period, you will be charged for key replacement.

Please be aware that all apartment entry doors automatically lock when closed, which provides added security but can also result in keys being locked inside. To avoid a lockout, we recommend carrying your keys with you at all times. If you need assistance, contact our office between 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM at 404-894-2469. After 8:00 PM, please reach out to your RA on duty at 404-435-6402.

Fitness Center

Zbar Apartments is conveniently located next to the Campus Recreation Center (CRC), which offers state-of-the-art fitness equipment and a variety of classes for the Georgia Tech community. Your stay at Zbar Apartments includes a complimentary membership to the CRC. Upon arrival, you will be required to sign a waiver.

The CRC is located at 750 Ferst Dr NW, just a 5-minute walk from Zbar Apartments.

Laundry

Laundry facilities are available in the next building and are free with your stay. All machines are front-loading and require a BuzzCard to operate. While laundry at Georgia Tech is free, a nominal one-cent charge will appear on your statement. This is deducted from a special laundry allotment and is not an additional charge to your account. Please note that laundry supplies, such as detergent and dryer sheets, are not provided.
