Staff Recognition
The Office of Conference Services would like to recognize a member of our student staff, not only for their hard work, dedication and contribution to our efforts but also for their academic accomplishment. You have studied throughout the night; worked on countless papers and projects; sweated over exams; laughed, cried and everything in between. To this we say thank you for being a part of Georgia Tech and the Conference Services Team!
We celebrate you and appreciate everything you have contributed to make our office a success. We hope your time working with us has been as beneficial to you as it has been to us. We wish you health, happiness, blessings and every good thing.

What I learned working with conference services: Working at Conference Services has taught me to think quickly and adapt under pressure. One of the most memorable moments was during a last-minute change when I had to help manage a delayed flight landing. With only minutes to spare, I coordinated the arrival of the group while maintaining a calm and efficient environment, ensuring everyone’s needs were met without compromising the event’s flow. Through this, I learned how to assess situations from multiple perspectives, prioritize key actions, and deliver simple yet effective solutions. This experience reinforced the importance of staying composed and knowing when to act fast or when to dive deeper into problem-solving.
Other Involvement at Georgia Tech: Resident Assistant, Biomedical Engineering Honor Society Alpha Eta Mu Beta (AEMB), Biomedical Engineering Society (BMES), Turkish Student Association, Biomedical Engineering Alliance for Minorities, Chess Club and Molecular Biology at Georgia Tech, Club Math @ GT, Undergraduate Research Assistant at REAR Lab, FAIR Tech Competition, MedTech Hackathon
Favorite Georgia Tech Memory: One of my favorite memories is from this year’s Homecoming game, when Georgia Tech beat Miami 28-23. The energy in the stadium was incredible, with fans cheering, rushing the field, and celebrating like one big family. Some students even took the goalpost and threw it in the President’s pool! I didn’t take part in that, but just watching the crowd flip, dance, and hug each other was unforgettable. One of my friend’s friends rushed the field in pure excitement and amazement, so much so that he tripped and broke his wrist! Thankfully, the adrenaline seemed to keep him from feeling much pain, and he was fine afterward. It’s funny now, but in the moment, it was all just a part of the wild energy that filled the air. That Yellow Jacket spirit was truly infectious!
Advice to Incoming First-Year Students: Make the most of what Georgia Tech has to offer! Get to know your advisors, professors, and staff early on, building those connections will make a huge difference. Take time to explore all the resources available here, and don’t hesitate to ask questions. Look things up, read, connect with alumni, talk to upperclassmen, and check out free campus events. There’s so much here to support you, so use it all! And make sure you’re getting your money’s worth by being involved, joining in, and trying new things. This is your time to learn, grow, and have fun!
